GUIDED ENERGY
Mind-Body Tools for
Optimal Health and
Peak Performance
Based on the ancient principles of acupuncture, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a simple procedure that gently re-aligns the body's energy system, without the discomfort of needles. The mind-body connection is a topic undergoing a resurgence of interest in the scientific research community. Stressful thought patterns, for example, trigger both an emotional response as well as large-scale biochemical changes in the body. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), most doctor visits are stress related, and 85% of chronic diseases have an emotional root cause. EFT is a tool that allows us to harness the power of our thoughts and feelings to make fast, permanent changes that are felt mentally, emotionally and physically. The combination of light acu-tapping together with focusing the mind on a problem plus the desired solution, has been shown clinically to alter brainwave patterns, lower stress hormones, increase endorphins, and stimulate changes in neural pathways. EFT has been effective in the management of a wide variety of issues, including:
EFT goes far beyond traditional talk therapy approaches by adding a crucial physical component: light, self-applied tapping on a series of points on the face and upper body.

Experts Agree on EFT How Is It Done? 0 -------------------- 5 -------------------- 10 1. Bring to mind the issue you want to clear. Notice all the ways it affects you mentally, emotionally and physically. Rate the intensity on a scale of 0–10, where ‘10’ is the worst you can imagine feeling about this, and ‘0’ is no stress whatsoever. 2. Do the Setup. Create a set-up by stating the problem out loud in the form of "Even though I have this [ INSERT a phrase describing the feeling / problem / past event ]," followed by an affirmation, e.g. "I deeply and completely accept myself anyway". Repeat the setup + affirmation phrases 3 times to be sure you're mentally focused. 4. Re-rate yourself on the scale of intensity. Do you feel differently, better or even worse? Sometimes emotions around a long-held issue are layered – you may need to tap through each round a few times. Revise the phrasing of the words you use to suit your unique situation, or in response to your changing feelings as you complete each round.
